Eat a good breakfast, avoid junk food, fill up on fruit and veg, eat more lean meat, drink more water. Timeless advice that will continue to fall on deaf ears for the next 100 years! We’ll keep trying though Jessica!

Another great idea to avoid overeating is avoiding the 2-3 big meals a day and aim for 5 or 6 smaller meals. If you eat healthy foods more often, say every 3 hours, then you are less likely to feel hungry and eat some empty calories.

Overeating is really the main cause behind obesity.
If someone wants to stay fit, he/she has to avoid junk food and take healthy nutrition rich food..

We always aim of having a nice abs and a flat stomach, yet we just don’t know how to discipline our own selves. That is why we end up frustrated of not achieving our goals. What’s wrong with that is compulsive over-eating and I’m struck with it because it definitely true to me.That is why I’m glad about this article, it helps me remind my unhappy days of burning all my belly fats.Thank you for this informative article.

Most people overeat because of normal reasons. The difference is, some just don’t know when to stop and these people are the ones in dire need of overeating treatments. Health professionals have found out that one of the reasons why people turn to eating for comfort and to feel good about their selves is because of deep seated psychological problems.

Hey Jessica, good post with some great tips.

I have another one for your readers, that will help them to stop over-eating.

One thing that I did was to actually slow down the actually process of eating. It may sound odd, but once the food went in my mouth, I used to just wolf it down without really allowing myself to taste it. If you actually slow down the rate at which you eat, your body will have time to recognise you’re eating and be aware that you’re filling up. It goes back to that idea you mentioned that it takes 20 minutes for your body to tell you you’re full.

So, chill out and actually enjoy the food people, and you’ll find it will help you stop overindulging!

Couldn’t agree more. People eat without even considering what they are doing to themselves, and then wonder why they are 50 pounds overweight. I know because I did it…it’s the first step in the right direction I think, just stop eating so much. It’s hard, but not impossible.
