Here we go! 100 Push ups challenge day 1. Since I completed 18 push ups in the initial test I am instructed to complete column 3 of the week 1 exercises.
My day 1 begins with set 1 (10 push ups). A rest for 60 seconds, before moving onto set 2 (12 push ups). Another rest for 60 seconds and then onto set 3 (7 push ups) and set 4 (7 push ups). The final 5th set is a max out set where I am to do as many push ups as possible (at least 9).
My Day 1 Results:
Set 1: 10 done (found these okay)
Set 2: 12 done (I found it pretty hard)
Set 3: 7 done (a little easier)
Set 4: 7 done (getting a little harder again)
Set 5: Max = 19 (which was one more than my initial max so I guess I’m on the improve already?)
Although I got through it I found it really hard. Perhaps because I started day 1 the day after I took the initial push-up test or because I did a pretty intense gym session last night as well.
My chest and triceps are pretty sore, but it feels good! Looking forward to tomorrow’s rest day though;)
